Katie Valle-Henley was born in California. Katie moved to Oklahoma as a teenager in 2005 and has lived in Okmulgee County on & off for 20 years. Katie attended Henryetta High School & Green Country Technology Center. She started OSUIT in 2007 at the age of 16. Katie went on to work for Green Country Technology Center and OSUIT throughout her time in college.

Katie graduated OSUIT with a Bachelor of Technology in Information Assurance, Forensics, & Networking Infrastructure. She also has two associate’s degrees in computer science. In January 2020, Katie started an outreach position at CREOKS Behavioral Health Services where she went on to lead a 17-person outreach team across 7 counties for 2 years.

Katie currently still works at CREOKS as a Child Mobile Crisis Response Specialist for 5 counties and has done Suicide Prevention since May 2022, working with both adults and children throughout this time. She carried multiple licenses from the Oklahoma State Dept of Mental Health for Case Manager II, Peer Recovery Support Specialist, and a Behavioral Health Wellness Coach. Katie has helped clients at the shelter obtaining jobs, social security, housing resources, and so much more while volunteering in her free time. Katie has been on the board for the homeless shelter since November 2022.
